Break Through Your Creative Walls With The Law Of Rhythm.

I’ve been staring at a dreaded blank screen for a while now, struggling to come up with an idea worth writing about.

I looked through my list of blog ideas, yet none of them really inspired me to pursue them at this moment.

Sometimes when you want to be creative, you hit walls.

And that’s okay.

What trumps crystal clarity, or the passion behind a great idea, is simply this: consistency

Developing a commitment to show up regularly and engage in the creative process is the pathway to all great works. It is the rhythmic relationship you have with your creativity that will spawn your moments of genius.

Law Of Rhythm

Let’s go down a little rabbit hole (a small one I swear!)

The Hermetic Principle of Rhythm states this: everything goes through cycles, yet everything has a rhythm or a pattern.

In today’s world, we see and praise great things, while often overlooking the process it took to achieve them.

That process, aka your “pattern”, is directly related to your vibration, your habits, and your future.

Hold up, let me explain. Let’s get weird.

Picture an orange and fuzzy cat. As it goes through it’s day to day routine we can observe certain repeated behaviors, a general pattern. Now if we zoom waaay out to the scale of planets (gotta love space and cats in one paragraph), the cat’s pattern would no longer appear the same.

From that large of a perspective, the cat would simply appear to be vibrating at a certain frequency.

Here’s another way to think about this. Imagine I could displace a wall in your house by a distance of 1 foot, without destroying your humble abode.

A smooth transition, inwards a foot, outwards a foot. Inwards a foot, outwards a foot. At a slow rhythm, it would look super trippy.

Why is my wall moving?

Now here’s is where it gets interesting. Picture I was now able to move that wall back and forth, faster than you could see it. What would happen?

Simply put, you would see a wall that’s a foot thick. It would appear to be solid for you. In fact, you wouldn’t even know I was moving it!

Time scales people, time scales.

Alas, we can deduce that all things vibrate and at different rhythms. Whether you’re a cat or a wall. (…Yikes, I gotta work on these.)

All this to say that your actions, your habits and regular behaviors, compounded over time, will generate your core energetic signature.

Your rhythmic vibration.

It’s as if we’ve embodied the perspective that all great works spontaneously emerge from an elusive moment of genius. They don’t. Success arrives from the energy you hold, over time.

While many great things have indeed been birthed that way, we often don’t hear about the years or decades of fruitless labor which created the conditions for that success to crystalize.

It’s how atoms bond with each other. It’s how you discover new people in your life. It’s how you’ll find your tribe, and most importantly make YOUR BEST MUSIC EVER.

All you’ve got to do is keep showing up.
